Badiya is considered as one of the beautiful oases located at the entrance to the eastern sands, and is the starting point for exploring the depths of sand and entering a world full of excitement and vitality, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a change of daily routine programs. There are many oases in these sands, including, but not limited to, the Rakah Oasis, which is surrounded by sandy hills on three sides, and it constitutes a wonderful view to the side of the Shakh Oasis. Same is the case with Al-Hawiya Oasis, which is the largest of the oases and contains many trees surrounded by sand dunes in a wonderful scene.
This oasis is a living example of this unique mixture, where it was embraced by the golden sands to form a green peninsula in a unique scene that distinguishes it from other oases of Oman. The sharp slope of sand in the southern part of this oasis is one of the prime locations for sand skiing.
Another unique oasis is the Al-Aidan Oasis, whose name is due to the presence of trees with their vast shades and the presence of a water well in this location. It can be accessed by the assistance of a guide.
Many tourism activities and events are held in Sharqiya sands across the year. It includes the challenge of climbing sand in four-wheel drive vehicles, horse and camel races. Horse Marathon is also held annually.
